On 29th October the Social Employers, together with EPSU and national employers’ organisations, will host an online session in the EUSES to discuss “the Impact of Digitalisation on the Social Economy & the Role of Social Partners”.
The Social Employers, in collaboration with the European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU), UNIPSO from Belgium, and UDES from France will present the impact of digitalisation on the social economy, more precisely on working conditions, organisational processes, and the nature and quality of services. The session will also discuss the role of European social dialogue and social partners to best respond to the opportunities digitalisation can offer the sector, while mitigating possible negative effects.
The Social Employers and EPSU will bring in the EU-level perspective, by introducing opportunities and challenges linked to new digital technologies and outlining collective bargaining and social dialogue as fundamental tools to make best use of such technologies. The speakers from Belgium and France will share their expertise and best practices on the uptake and impacts of digital technologies in social economy enterprises in their respective national context.
