On 6 October, the Social Employers and EPSU will host the 1st Thematic Meeting in the framework of the FORESEE project, to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the social services sector and the role of social partners.

The event will discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the social services sector, especially on working conditions, recruitment & retention and explore concrete actions and measures taken by social services social partners.

In the first part of the webinar, the European Commission will present key findings from the 2021 long-term care report and elaborate on the impact of the pandemic on LTC services. The Working Life Research Centre FORBA will present the soon to be released report on the “Impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the social services sector and the role of social dialogue”, developed in cooperation with social partners in social services from across Europe in the framework of the FORESEE project.

The second part of the webinar will be dedicated to representatives of both employers and trade unions. The panellists will present actions and initiatives taken throughout the pandemic, and highlight key learnings, as well as trends and practices to be carried forward.
