On 17 January, the FORESEE project partners gathered online to discuss the state of play of the project, the latest updates and next steps in 2022.

FORESEE is a 2-year project co-funded by the European Commission. It aims at strengthening EU social dialogue in social services, develop capacity building of national-level social partners and promote the attractiveness of the sector and Address Covid-19 impact & consequences for social services.

Social Dialogue

FORESEE partners are currently finalising the content and tools for the national training sessions on social dialogue.

During the first half of 2022, the social dialogue training programme will be piloted in 4 countries: Greece, Poland, Portugal and Romania.

The training programme mainly targets social services providers and employer’s associations and aims to improve the understanding of social dialogue practices and its advantages at both national and EU level. The two-day training will focus on the context in each target country, provide examples and good practices, as well as an inside on how to create an employers’ organisation and the relevant activities.

In addition, to further strengthen social dialogue at European level, the Social Employers and EPSU will host a second Thematic Meeting in the framework of the project, on one of their joint priorities.

Attractiveness

Thee FORESEE project partners will organise three national events to discuss strategies and recommendations for more attractive social services. The drafting of a report on the social services sector’s attractiveness challenges is currently ongoing. It will include national campaigns and other innovative practices already implemented to improve the attractiveness of the sector and an assessment of the impact of those practices.

The report will serve as a supporting tool to facilitate the exchange of experiences and elaborate strategies at national level. Events will be organised in Poland, Romania and Greece, and will bring together social partners, service providers and representatives of public authorities. Covid-19 Impact & consequences
