
On 17th May, the Social Employers met with their Romanian members FONSS in Bucharest. The joint event, that brought together 25 participants, discussed the state of play of social dialogue in the Romanian social services sector and introduced the Social Employers’ work at European level.
After a presentation of the Social Employers and their objectives, some recent research findings on the state of play of social dialogue in Romanian social services were presented, followed by discussions and valuable feedback by the Romanian participants.
The meeting also offered an opportunity to discuss the PESSIS+ and DialogueS projects and their main objectives.
Concluding, the participants discussed how to move towards effective social dialogue structures in the Romanian social services sector, assessing the current needs and major challenges.
It was agreed to keep up the close cooperation and organise follow-up meetings, both at national and European level.
